Mooloolaba

Mooloolabar - is a nice secure town about half way between Morton Bay and the Wide Bay Bar (Shudders!). The city sits on a river called the Mooloola and where the river goes into the Sea a sandbar has formed over the years, hence the name.

But I digress, the city is a pleasant place to stop off and to refill the pantry etc. It has a large 'pool' in the middle of the town which is formed by the river and many boats anchor here and pluck up courage before taking on the Wide Bay Bar!

One day we went for a bike ride from Mooloolaba to Maroochydore (I'm sure that if the early aboriginies knew how to write they would have come up with easier names to spell). Gill is showing how happy she is to have survived it.
